Product Owner (42229)

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to take ownership of product strategy, roadmap definition, and delivery across multiple ARTs in a SAFe environment. You will lead backlog management, drive PI Planning, and act as a key decision-maker on scope and priorities. The role requires strong experience in stakeholder management, Customer Journey Mapping, and translating business needs into User Stories. You will also coach Product Owners and contribute to best practices across the organisation. Strong communication skills in English (C1) and the ability to operate in a complex, multi-national environment are essential.

Project
- own and lead the overall purpose, definition, and performance of assigned product(s) at a strategic level
- ensure long-term vision is translated into actionable programme and team-level outcomes
- define and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap aligned with the “Technology Enablement” strategy and Micro-Plan priorities
- act as a senior decision-maker on product scope, investment trade-offs, and benefit realisation across PI cycles
- define and champion Product Owner standards, ways of working, and best practices across the ART community
- coach and mentor Product Owners across the organisation, supporting their development and ensuring consistency in backlog management, story writing, and acceptance criteria
- lead a team of Product Owners, providing performance oversight and day-to-day guidance
- lead communities of practice and knowledge-sharing forums for the PO function
- own, rank, and maintain the backlog for assigned products, ensuring stories and features are clearly defined, prioritised, and aligned with the Programme Vision
- partner with Product Management to decompose group-level features into sprint-ready User Stories and Enablers
- support PI Planning for assigned ARTs, driving dependency resolution and PI Objective setting
- serve as a senior interface between technology delivery teams and business stakeholders across the Group
- build trusted relationships with Business Areas and Business Owners to ensure solutions are commercially grounded and user-centric
- leverage Power BI, Salesforce, and operational data to validate Benefit Hypotheses, monitor product performance, and inform prioritisation decisions
- champion a culture of evidence-based decision-making within the PO community
- ensure all stories and delivered increments meet the “Definition of Done,” focusing on GDPR compliance (Data Minimisation) and L&D/Change Management readiness
- set quality standards for the broader PO team and hold the function accountable to them

🎯 Skills
- extensive experience as a Product Owner in a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment, with demonstrable impact at programme or strategic level
- experience operating across multiple products or ARTs simultaneously, with the ability to manage competing priorities at scale
- proven ability to influence, coach, and develop others, whether through formal line management or informal leadership
- strong experience in Customer Journey Mapping and translating complex business requirements into high-quality User Stories and Enablers
- track record of effective stakeholder engagement with senior business and technology leaders in large, multi-national corporate environments
- English at C1 level

💡 Nice to have
- SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification, or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
- experience with enterprise ERP systems
- familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and CRM data structures
- knowledge of data analytics tools (Power BI, SQL) to interpret operational and product performance
- background in service-oriented or consumer-facing industries (e.g. Facility Management, Cleaning, or Green Services)
