Platform Engineer (41014)
Join the team as a Platform Engineer and help design and build the core infrastructure powering high-performance, large-scale systems. You’ll develop backend components in Go, optimize LLM runtimes, and work with technologies like Kubernetes, Terraform, and Firecracker. This is an opportunity to work deeply with Linux internals and tackle complex performance and scalability challenges in a fast-paced environment where innovation and efficiency matter.
🚀 Project
- design and development of backend and core infrastructure, primarily in Go
- working with VM hypervisors such as Firecracker, gVisor, and Linux systems
- building and optimizing LLM runtimes and sandboxes
- developing networking solutions for secure and isolated environments
- monitoring system resources and improving sandbox performance — with a focus on every millisecond
- solving large-scale infrastructure and scalability challenges
- working with orchestration tools like Kubernetes or Nomad
- close collaboration with Distributed Systems Engineers
🎯 Skills
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure and distributed systems development
- 5+ years of Linux administration experience (bootloader, kernel, networking, storage, namespaces, containers)
- strong programming background in Go (or Rust, Python, C, Ruby, etc.)
- experience operating infrastructure at scale
- deep understanding of Linux internals (experience with modified Ubuntu or RHEL certification is a plus)
- experience with public cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS or Azure acceptable)
- experience with Terraform and infrastructure automation
- fluent English (written and spoken)
- self-driven approach and comfort working in a fast-moving, loosely structured environment
💡 Nice to have
- experience with hypervisors (Firecracker, gVisor, Cloud Hypervisor)
- background in startup environments
- knowledge of virtualization, sandboxing, and language runtimes
- advanced Go programming skills (majority of the product is written in Go)
- experience in open-source development
