Software Engineer (42889)

I am looking for a Software Engineer to join a cloud-native environment focused on building and maintaining operational microservices. You will work with AWS serverless technologies, Python and modern observability tools to ensure system reliability, performance and stability. The role includes incident triage, root cause analysis, testing and continuous enhancement of microservices in production environments.

🚀 Project
- implement monitoring, alarms and observability solutions within operational microservices
- develop alarms and runbooks to support transition of services to Tier I and Tier II support teams
- triage incidents and defects, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- enhance existing microservices with new functionality while ensuring zero impact on production
- design and implement test cases including unit, integration and smoke testing
- communicate with end users and internal stakeholders to support development and debugging activities
- document design and implementation details for future maintenance and enhancements

🎯 Skills
- proven experience with serverless AWS infrastructure (Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora PostgreSQL, SNS, SQS, Kinesis, Step Functions)
- strong proficiency in Python programming
- experience with complex data models, data flows and error handling
- experience with SQL or Snowflake
- experience with software testing (unit testing with full coverage, integration and smoke testing)
- English B2 (Upper Intermediate)
- minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role or sector

💡 Nice to have
- AWS certifications (e.g. Certified Developer Associate or similar)
- cloud solutioning and architecture experience
- experience with conceptual and logical data modeling for SQL and NoSQL databases
- knowledge of big data and cloud data technologies (AWS, data lakes, etc.)
- experience with monitoring tools (DataDog, AppDynamics, Dynatrace or similar)
- ability to work in complex, fast-changing and multicultural environments
- strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
