I am looking for a Platform Developer to own and operate Databricks environment, design cloud and data engineering solutions on Azure, and implement secure and compliant CI/CD pipelines. You will work with Terraform to provision resources, manage cost and governance, and contribute to platform runbooks while collaborating with Data Engineering teams to ensure best practices and high operational standards.

🚀 Project
- own and operate Databricks platform components including workspace lifecycle, cluster/job policies, secret management, Unity Catalog enablement and cost controls
- design and implement cloud and data engineering solutions on Azure Databricks using Delta Lake, Spark, SQL and Python
- provision and maintain Azure and Databricks resources via Terraform including Databricks provider with secure integration to Key Vault and network services
- implement and maintain CI/CD for notebooks, jobs and Terraform modules using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, including automated testing and promotion
- build solutions with security and compliance by design, applying RBAC, SCIM, least privilege, policy hardening and basic governance
- work in Scrum teams, contribute to platform runbooks and documentation, and represent the internal Data Engineering customer perspective

🎯 Skills
- 3-5 years of total experience in platform administration
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Databricks, Terraform and Azure
- experience with data engineering on Databricks
- solid Azure experience including identity, networking, storage, Key Vault and monitoring
- expertise with Terraform including Databricks provider: modules, state management and multi-environment patterns

💡 Nice to have
- German language skills
- preference for projects with large international companies
- experience with Unity Catalog rollout or migrations
- experience in cost governance including policy controls, right-sizing and spot pools
- basic understanding of Data Mesh concepts including domains and data products
- experience with monitoring and observability and relevant certifications
